Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DisciplineForge mobile application (the "App") operated by DisciplineForge ("we," "our," or "us").

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DisciplineForge. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms.

2. Account Registration

• You may create an account using your email address or Google Sign-In.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use DisciplineForge only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts.
• Use the App to transmit harmful, offensive, or illegal content.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality.
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App.
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the App or any part of it.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

4.1 Free Tier

DisciplineForge offers a free tier with the following limits:

• Up to 5 active disciplines
• Up to 2 custom disciplines
• Up to 2 identity statements
• Current month heatmap only

4.2 Forge Pro

Forge Pro unlocks unlimited disciplines, custom disciplines, identity statements, full history heatmap, advanced analytics, and CSV export. Forge Pro is available as:

• Monthly subscription: Billed monthly, cancel anytime.
• Annual subscription: Billed annually, cancel anytime.
• Lifetime purchase: One-time payment, permanent access.

4.3 Free Trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial of Forge Pro. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the free tier unless you subscribe.

4.4 Payment Processing

• All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the payment terms of the applicable app store.
• We do not collect or store your payment information.

4.5 Cancellation and Refunds

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to Forge Pro features until then.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
• Lifetime purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

4.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle after notice is provided. Existing subscribers will be notified before price changes take effect.

5. User Content

5.1 Your Data

You retain ownership of all content you create in the App, including disciplines, completion logs, notes, and identity statements.

5.2 License to Us

By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the App. We do not use your personal content for advertising or sell it to third parties.

5.3 Data Portability

Forge Pro users can export their data as CSV. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed.

6. Health Disclaimer

DisciplineForge is a habit-tracking and personal development tool. It is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, or health advice.

• Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new exercise, diet, or wellness routine.
• If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed professional or call your local emergency services.
• We make no representations or warranties regarding the health outcomes of using the App.
• You use the App's discipline and habit tracking features at your own risk.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, logos, and content (such as Stoic wisdom quotes), is owned by DisciplineForge and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission.

7.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback or suggestions about the App, you grant us the right to use that feedback without obligation to you.

8. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• Any defects will be corrected.
• The App will meet your specific requirements.
• Data stored locally on your device will be preserved in all circumstances (e.g., device failure, OS updates).

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, DISCIPLINEFORGE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR PERSONAL INJURY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DisciplineForge, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

11. Termination

• You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
• Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 6 through 10 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last Updated" date.

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of India.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DisciplineForge regarding your use of the App.
